In mid December 2012 the story of the timber bow ties began in a small timber workshop in the town of Bloemfontein.
Two years later, I decided to distribute the bow ties to one of the local shops in Bloemfontein, and thus the name Major John came into existence.
The timber used is party recycled and the fabric is hand picked to ensure quality. Thus the bow ties are hand-crafted and unique.
Each bow tie is numbered and can be traced back to the series and issue.
Major John combines the ideals of the Arts-and-Crafts movement with modern trends to create unique hand-crafted products.
